Our community has so much to offer with the Algonquin Theatre, Muskoka Heritage Place, Huntsville Public Library, Waterloo Summit Centre for the Environment and Canada Summit Centre. We offer many parks and trails for you to walk, hike or bike - or simply take in the beautiful scenery. Huntsville is also the major gateway to Algonquin Provincial Park. Numerous events have been hosted by Huntsville, with more on the way each year! Our events calendar is full of exciting, entertaining things to do year-round! The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce is a membership driven business organization whose mission is to support the economic and social growth of our members through networking, public awareness and community promotion. As a member you get preferred access to a wide range of events, activities and programs designed to help you build your business and contribute to your community.
Huntsville Festival of the Arts covers a broad spectrum of classical and contemporary music events, as well as dance, theatre, literature, children's cultural activities and public celebrations. Muskoka's resort and cottage country offers a variety of unique venues for the Festival's events. Starting in 2005 Huntsville’s new Algonquin Theatre became principle venue. In addition, several Huntsville locations are used including Trinity United Church, Muskoka Heritage Place, Deerhurst Resort Pavilion and the Town Centre's outdoor gazebos and waterfront. The Festival fosters a sense of ownership in the community and is considered an integral summer event in the area.
Rotary Club of Huntsville Rotarian’s personal and professional lives are enriched by taking an active role in local and world community. Each year our club undertakes several small projects and one larger local project, and one or two projects to help very needy people in other countries. The focus of our projects is always on youth, our community, and the very needy. To complete these projects, members derive fun and satisfaction from participating in hands-on work bees and a variety of team fundraising activities.
